Miljögården furnishes the Swedish Football Association's dining room – a collaboration with heart and finesse.
“Sometimes a big project starts with something as simple as a cup.”
Two years ago, in 2023, we met the Swedish Football Association at our stand at Formex – the conversation was about our cups. But it was also the beginning of something bigger.

Brief from the client: The goal is to create an environment that invites both community and personal time—a place where our employees want to be.
Our story for the project: We think there should be space for the large group, but also room for individual meetings. At the same time, we want to play a little with the feeling and memories people have from soccer.
"I remember my soccer summers on the field in Båstad. I was definitely the worst player, but the warmth of the sun, the tall grass, the sound of the ball flying high, and the sense of community and belonging.
In this way, we can bring in warmth, nature, and memories. At Råsunda, soccer is a job, whether you are a player, coach, medical staff, equipment manager, or office staff—everyone is important.
In sports, it is often said that you like what you do 1/3 of the time, that it is okay 1/3 of the time, and that it is tough 1/3 of the time.
But by reminding the players of what made them want to play and dare to give it their all, we hope that those who eat at Råsunda will be reminded of their own childhood memories – because everyone has kicked a football at some point, whether in their free time or at school.
In this way, we hope that the dining hall will instill a sense of calm and security in everyone."
About a year later, Malin Lindman, office manager at the Swedish Football Association, contacted us again—this time with a larger request: Would we like to help create the Swedish Football Association's new dining room? “A dining room in Miljögården's soft, rural, and Swedish style.”
Together with our interior design expert and decorator Patricia, we created a mood board with tables, chairs, and carefully selected interior design details. The proposal was spot on—both in terms of feel and function—and became a basis for Malin to continue working with in her internal process. Once everything had been decided, the production of the furniture went quickly. About eight months after the project was launched, everything was delivered to Stockholm. Patricia was there to help bring the idea to life.

Malin Lindman, office manager, explains:
"The staff had long wanted a modernized dining room—the previous one resembled a school cafeteria, with a plastic and cold atmosphere. I was entrusted with developing a budget and a proposal.
During my visits to Formex, I was always impressed by Miljögården's stand – it was like stepping into a red cottage in the countryside, with a sense of calm and the scent of summer. It felt very Swedish.
I decided to ask them if they would be willing to help us furnish our dining room. And that's how it all started. Drawings and budget work began in September 2024.
On May 16, 2025, eight pallets of furniture arrived. We were a group that helped each other – from receiving the goods to unpacking and assembling. We are really good at teamwork, if I may boast – it was like a well-oiled machine. Some of those who were at work on Friday sneaked in and took a peek – most of them were just amazed.
It was so nice that Patricia was with us all day and got to hear our colleagues' appreciation.
We are super happy – and everything has gone incredibly smoothly."
